Meet Dr. Sandy Thao T. Gaskill
Dr. ”Sandy” was born and raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in D’Iberville, MS. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Alabama and Master of Biomedical Science from William Carey College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her undergraduate & graduate training, she attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center, School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sandy worked several years in the dental field before attending dental school and knew her love for working with children combined with her upbeat positive mood and bubbly personality would make a great fit for pediatric dentistry. She then completed a two year pediatric dental residency at UMMC Blair Batson Children’s of Mississippi with a combined university and hospital based residency program.
Dr. Sandy is truly grateful to have a career in pediatric dentistry.
Dr. Sandy is excited to become an associate of CoastKids Pediatric Dentistry and work alongside Dr. Stacey Carter. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the Mississippi Dental Association. Dr. Sandy has taken the QE portion to become board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
She and her husband, John have been married for five years and love their 2 dogs, Tíca and Zoë.
Dr. Sandy enjoys being outdoors, especially on the water and cannot wait to travel and explore the world together. Dr. Sandy is a huge foodie, loves cooking and trying different cuisines. She has found a new hobby…tennis! Dr. Sandy is ecstatic to come home and be with family & friends again, near the water and provide pediatric dentistry to the children of the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
